2024 Jeep Compass released, available in mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions.

Jeep recently released the 2024 Compass. As an annual facelift, the new car mainly upgrades the configuration and provides optional mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions.

Naijatechnews noticed that the 2024 Compass continues the design of the 2021 facelift model without major changes. The interior is still equipped with a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel and a 10.1-inch infotainment touch screen. The biggest highlight is the upgraded driver assistance system (ADAS) suite. Level 2 assisted driving functions can now be used on all roads, no longer limited to highways. Jeep has also added connected services capabilities and introduced new A+-rated tires (18- and 19-inch) to improve fuel efficiency.

According to Jeep, the Compass now offers more than 80 safety features, including driver drowsiness detection, full-speed forward collision warning with active braking, pedestrian/cyclist automatic emergency braking, active lane keeping and rear cross-traffic detection.

To further simplify the product line, the configuration levels of the 2024 Compass have been reduced from the previous five to four, namely Altitude, Summit, Overland and Trailhawk. Among them, the Trailhawk version still maintains the off-road style and adds more standard configurations. In addition, there are three optional packages: safety package, advanced package and winter package (the advanced package includes upgraded Level 2 assisted driving system).

Since the European market has completely stopped selling fuel-powered models, the 2024 Compass only offers two electrified powertrains. The entry-level e-Hybrid mild hybrid version is equipped with a 1.3L turbocharged gasoline engine that outputs 130 horsepower, paired with a 20-horsepower electric motor and 48V battery pack, and transmits power to the front axle through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The flagship model Compass 4Xe uses a plug-in hybrid system, providing two power outputs: 187 horsepower and 237 horsepower. Both are equipped with an electrified four-wheel drive system and Selec-Terrain driving mode selection (Auto, Snow, Sand/Mud and Sport) to easily cope with various terrains. The Trailhawk version takes its off-road capabilities to the next level with its rock mode and Jeep Active Drive Low four-wheel drive system.

Currently, Jeep Compass is produced in four major plants around the world (Ranjangaon in India, Pernambuco in Brazil, Toluca in Mexico and Melfi in Italy) and sold to more than 100 countries and regions. It is reported that the new third-generation Jeep Compass will be put into production at the Melfi plant in Italy in 2025. It will be built based on the STLA Medium architecture and provide a variety of power options such as pure electric and hybrid power.

The 2024 Jeep Compass has been launched in Spain, with a price range of 38,700-51,250 euros, approximately RMB 300,000-400,000. For reference, the domestic Compass has been discontinued.
