On Friday, local time, the U.S. Department of Defense decided to still give Microsoft a $10 billion JEDI contract. Amazon responded by publishing a strongly worded blog post.
Amazon issued a statement saying Trump blatantly interfered with the purchase of $10 billion in cloud services
The Amazon blog targeted U.S. President Trump, calling him “blatantly interfering” in the procurement process and accusing the Pentagon’s decision of “flawless, biased, and politically corrupt . ” Amazon said, “We strongly disagree with the flawed assessments made by the Department of Defense. The objective and fairness of the government and its leaders in the procurement process is vital to our country.”
Amazon has repeatedly stated that Trump’s personal hatred of the company’s CEO Jeff Bezos (Jeff Bezos) is an important reason why the Department of Defense gave Microsoft the JEDI contract.
Microsoft disagrees with Amazon’s statement, saying that the opponent hopes to “turn over” after losing the contract in the public bidding.
Amazon also stated that it will continue to oppose the Pentagon’s decision to give Microsoft the JEDI contract, saying that it “will not succumb to political nepotism” and seek “fair, objective and impartial evaluation.”
