Apple closes iOS 13.7 system verification channel to prevent iOS 14 from being downgraded

After the official version of iOS 14 was released last week, Apple today stopped verifying iOS 13.7 , which means that users can no longer downgrade to this version.

iOS 14 brings many new features to the iPhone, including new widgets, App resource library, and adopts a compact design to support incoming mobile phone calls and FaceTime call incoming call banners. In addition, the iOS 14 home screen page can be hidden, users only need to tap the dot at the bottom of the screen in the jitter mode.

Apple usually stops verifying the old version of iOS within a few weeks after pushing the official version update. IT Home has learned that before the official version of iOS 13.7, Apple added a COVID-19 “exposure notification” system.

For some users who have updated to the latest iOS system, when they encounter major bugs, the downgrade method is sometimes very effective. This is why Apple will wait for a while before closing the verification channel of the old iOS system.
