SpeedSmart announced some early 5G speed test results for the new iPhone 12. Considering that the iPhone 12 has not been officially launched, the number of test results is limited.
iPhone 12 supports two modes of 5G network in the United States: millimeter wave 5G and low-frequency sub-6GHz 5G . The speedsmart website shared iPhone 12 5G speed tests of different locations and different operators. The results are as follows:
The following is the AT&T iPhone 12 5G test, using sub-6GHz 5G technology, without millimeter wave 5G.
The following is the Verizon iPhone 12 5G test, using millimeter wave 5G technology.
The last is the T-Mobile iPhone 12 5G test, which uses a mixture of millimeter wave 5G and mid-frequency 5G.
Naijatechnews found that Verizon’s millimeter wave network was the winner in terms of speed. However, due to the limited availability of the network, most users may not be able to obtain these speeds.
SpeedSmart pointed out that AT&T seems to only use low-band 5G, while T-Mobile’s low-band and mid-band 5G are mixed for better speed.
