Apple iPhone 12/Pro will be released on October 13

According to sources broke the news, Apple may hold an iPhone 12 conference on October 13 and start accepting reservations on October 16.

The news came from a whistleblower who claimed to work for a Dutch wireless operator. Although there is no conclusive evidence to confirm the specific date of the event, the person’s IP address is indeed within the control of the operator’s corporate network.

At the same time, in other parts of Europe, another operator is preparing for Apple’s product launch and is also looking forward to 5G phones. According to reports, internal presentations by British Telecom (BT) and EE show that BT CEO Marc Allera announced that Apple will launch a 5G iPhone in “a few days.”

Alila told the employees: “It’s only a few days before Apple’s next major launch event-the 5G iPhone. This will be a huge boost to 5G. Various teams in the consumer department have been working on this release throughout the year. We will prepare and become Apple’s preferred partner in Europe.”

During the presentation, Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet software and services, also appeared in the video to congratulate EE on becoming the first smartphone package operator to provide consumers with a bundle of multiple Apple services. It is unclear whether Kuy mentioned 5G, but given Apple’s secrecy tradition, this seems unlikely.

Although the new iPhone is usually released in September, many reports indicate that Apple plans to release the iPhone 12 in October this year. This time frame was officially confirmed by Apple, and the company stated on its June quarterly earnings call that the launch of the new iPhone this year will be delayed by several weeks.

Apple is expected to release four new iPhone 12 models this year. The iPhone 12 mini or iPhone 12 may be launched at the press conference on the 13th . These two models are equipped with 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch OLED screens, respectively. However, the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max may also be unveiled.

Rumor has it that the iPhone 12 has two 12-megapixel cameras, while the Pro model has three. The latter is also believed to have a LiDAR sensor for depth mapping to support enhanced AR and photography functions.

It is expected that all iPhone 12 models will support 5G, although how it will work is still unclear. Although all models may include support for the sub-6GHz frequency band, there is speculation that only certain models will support high-speed millimeter waves.
