Apple is selling iPhone battery life test: iPhone 12 is an hour and a half longer than iPhone 11

The Apple iPhone 12 series has been lifted, and the well-known YouTuber @Rwhosetheboss shared a comparison test of the battery life of a new Apple selling iPhone.

Test conditions: a full charge, the same brightness, the same settings, to ensure that the health and usage of the battery are similar, all devices are running the latest iOS 14 system, and the SIM card is not inserted.

Test results show that the iPhone 12 with a smaller battery lasts better than the iPhone 11; but the smaller 5.8-inch iPhone 11 Pro is more durable than the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro; when the battery of the iPhone 12 Pro runs out , The remaining battery power of the iPhone 11 Pro is 18%; when the iPhone 12 is turned off, the remaining battery power of the iPhone 11 Pro is 14%.

The final ranking is as follows:

  • iPhone 11 Pro Max: 8 hours and 29 minutes (509 minutes)
  • iPhone 11 Pro: 7 hours 36 minutes (456 minutes)
  • iPhone 12: 6 hours and 41 minutes (401 minutes)
  • iPhone 12 Pro: 6 hours and 35 minutes (395 minutes)
  • iPhone 11: 5 hours and 8 minutes (308 minutes)
  • iPhone XR: 4 hours and 31 minutes (271 minutes)
  • iPhone SE (2020): 3 hours 59 minutes (239 minutes)

Regulatory documents show that the battery capacity of the Apple iPhone 12 series is slightly lower than that of the previous generation. For example, iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models use 2815 mAh batteries, while iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro are equipped with 3110 mAh and 3046 mAh batteries, respectively.

Apple’s technical specifications show that iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro can provide up to 17 hours of video playback, while iPhone 11 Pro can provide up to 18 hours, so Apple does admit that the battery life of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro has been slightly reduced.

In addition, there are also tests and evaluations compared with Android competitors, confirming that the battery life of the iPhone 12/Pro 5G network is indeed poor. Details can be seen in previous reports by IT House.
