Apple has begun a street view survey in Hong Kong , China, and is expected to bring a 360-degree street view function to Hong Kong users in China.
Apple officials stated that privacy is still a core requirement for its investigation of any location or city, including Hong Kong . For example, Apple Maps Street View will automatically blur faces and vehicle license plates that may appear in the image. Before being released on Apple Maps Street View, users can also request to blur other personal information or attributes that may be captured by the camera.
Naijatechnews has learned that Apple has started surveys on Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, the New Territories and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge from this month and is expected to be completed in July .
The Street View function provides users with a 3D virtual view, where they can see what a certain location looks like in real life, and users can also stroll the streets on the device.
The street view feature of Google Maps has been launched for many years, and the street view of Apple Maps is called Look Around, which is better in terms of privacy.
