Xiaomi launched the Redmi K40 series just few months ago, to be specific, March of this year. And now, information of the successor is already brewing which is the Redmi K50 lineup. The K40 series came as the brand’s highest-end flagship smartphone, complementing the shortcomings of the previous generation models. The handset also came with the highest-rated Snapdragon 870 chip so far this year.
Not that long ago, we heard that Redmi had also shifted its focus on planning for the K50 products. Today, a blogger revealed the relevant configuration of the Redmi K50.
According to him, the series will support a 100W fast charging for the first time. It is expected to be at least 120W fast charging, but the standard version should not support 100W. As you guess, only the Pro+ version will come with it.
However, it has been confirmed that the vanilla version of Redmi K50 will support a 67W fast charging, which is equivalent to completely decentralizing the top technology of Xiaomi this year.
Furthermore, the source also said that the imaging system of these two models will be upgraded. Also, they will come with a 108MP main camera.
It should be noted that according to the launch time of the K40 in March this year, the Redmi K50 series still has a long time to be planned and designed.
As for the specifications, high-end version will be powered by Qualcomm’s new flagship Snapdragon 895 chip. Some sources call it the Snapdragon 898, which will use a 1+3+2+2 quad-cluster architecture and Kryo 780 super-large core. It is based on the Cortex-X2 and its frequency is as high as 3.09GHz. So its AnTuTu running points may exceed one million for the first time.
