Vivo Y21s launched with 50MP triple cameras: see Specs & Price

Last month, vivo launched the vivo Y21 with Helio P35 chip in India. Now, the Chinese smartphone maker has silently unveiled the vivo Y21s mid-range phone in Indonesia. This is the first midrange vivo smartphone to have a 50-megapixel main camera.

The vivo Y21s sports a 6.51-icnh LCD screen with a teardrop notch that offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a regular 60Hz refresh rate. It offers a screen space of 89 percent. For authentication, it features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and carries support for face unlock.

The phone is powered by Helio G80 chipset, paired with 4 GB of RAM and 1 GB of extended RAM. It offers 128 GB of internal storage and a dedicated microSD card slot. The Y21s house a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. It can be used as a power bank to charge other devices.

The rear camera setup of the vivo Y21s features a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth assist lens. Sitting on the front of this phone is an 8-megapixel camera, which has been optimized to capture better selfies in low-light conditions.

The vivo Y21s runs on Android 11 OS, which is skinned with FunTouch OS 11.1. The device offers other features such as dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
