How to Reset a forgotten password
If you have forgotten your Discover password, you can reset it by logging in to your account and selecting “Account Profile” at the top of the screen. Then click on the “Edit” button under “Account Information” on the Account Profile page and create a new password. If you do not remember your password or user ID, you can recover them by providing some information about yourself and your Discover card. If you cannot remember your user ID, you can select a new one from the Customer Service section once logged in. Additionally, if your account is locked for security reasons, you can unlock it by creating a new password using either your Discover Card Number or User ID
How long does it take to reset the password
The time it takes to reset your Discover password depends on the method you use. If you reset your password online, you will receive an email with a temporary password that expires in 72 hours.
Once you log in with the temporary password, be sure to create a new password as soon as possible. If you call Customer Service at 1-800-DISCOVER (1-800-347-2683) to reset your password, they will provide you with a temporary password over the phone.
The time it takes to receive this temporary password may vary depending on call volume. However, once you have the temporary password, you can log in immediately and create a new permanent one
