The Chinese company Cubot has announced some midrange smartphones that sell under $100. One of the smartphones is Cubot J8. It’s a nice device that comes with a nice body and sells for around $60. This you can easily grab the phone with little money.
Design And Display
The Cubot J8 features a plastic body on its entire body. This is expected considering the phone price. The panel is housing triple cameras with an LED flash. There is no Fingerprint scanner on the phone. It measures 146.8 x 71.2 x 9.2 mm in dimensions and weighs 155 grams.
On the front, it has a waterdrop notch with a screen size of 5.5 inches under the IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. The screen has a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels, an 18:9 ratio, and 219 PPI density.
Cameras Features
The camera setup on the phone includes a 13 MP primary camera with an additional 0.3 MP shooter and another 0.3 MP camera as well. The camera has Geo-tagging, touch focus, PDAF, HDR and can shoot 720p while the front camera is 8 MP for selfies.
On the performance, Cubot J8 has a Mediatek MT6580 chipset with a quad-core processor clocking at a speed of 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7. It has a Mali-400MP2 GPU graphics card and runs on Android 10 OS out of the box.
Storage Capacity And Sensors
The inbuilt storage on the inside is just 16GB and 2GB RAM. The memory is below average that’s why there is a dedicated slot for micro SDcard. You can use the slot to expand the memory up to 64GB. The sensors are FaceID, Accelerometer, and proximity.
Battery Power And Network Connectivity
The Cubot J8 has a removable battery of 3100 mAh without fast charging. Apart from that, the phone comes with dual SIMs and 3G network. Other features include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, GPS, FM radio, and Micro USB 2.0.
