Users can open the “Settings” application, scroll down to Gmail in the application list, and select “Default Mail Application” to set Gmail as the default email application on iPhone or iPad.
IT Home has learned that earlier, Google Chrome has supported setting as the default browser for iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 to replace Safari on iPhone and iPad.
MacRumors pointed out that it should be noted that there is a bug that will reset the default apps that replace Safari and Mail when the device is restarted. Therefore, when the user restarts the iPhone, they may need to reset Gmail as the default email application until Apple fixes it.
