Huawei Mate 40 Pro series front lens broke the news: IMX588+IMX516

Last year, Huawei launched the Mate 30 series in September. There is no official news about the release date of the Huawei Mate 40 series this year. However, recently, another whistleblower leaked information about the Mate 40 series front camera.

The whistleblower claimed that the flagship product lineup of Mate 40 will include three mobile phones, namely Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro+. He learned from supply chain sources that there will be a camera on the front of the Mate 40.

But as far as Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro+ are concerned, these phones may have pill-shaped cutouts on the display to accommodate dual selfie lenses. The dual selfie lens of the Mate 40 Pro model will include a Sony IMX588 camera and a ToF sensor Sony IMX516.

The news also revealed that the Huawei Mate 40 series has a Sony IMX700 lens. This is the 50-megapixel sensor provided on the Honor 30 Pro+ flagship phone. A recent exposure event revealed the Mate 40 Pro’s rear camera design-a circular camera module. According to reports, the Mate 40 Pro will be equipped with a quad rear camera system, while the Mate 40 will be equipped with a triple rear camera.

It is speculated that Huawei Mate 40 will be equipped with Kirin 9000E and Kirin 9000 chips. A report last month claimed that the Mate 40 series may be unveiled next month.
