Huawei has started launching
Android 10 for the
P20 Pro and
Mate 10 worldwide. The Over The Air equipment update comes with model numbers EMUI 10.0.0.161 for the Huawei P20 Pro and EMUI 10.0.0.158 for the Huawei Mate 10. The Mate 10 weighs 4.39 GB, while the P20 Pro weighs 4.59 GB.
The update brings new and improved device features, such as dark mode across the system, new navigation gesture system, new digital welfare tools with parental controls, strict location and privacy controls, intelligent response and more, You get other features like which are quick settings and notification panel, new camera user interface, rearranged settings, new transition animations, etc.
It could be recalled that the Mate 10 was launched back in 2017, sporting a 5.9-inch HDR LCD, Kirin 970 SoC, dual cameras, and a 4,000 mAh battery. The P20 Pro on the other hand was introduced in 2018 sporting a 5.8-inch display, Kirin 970 octa-core SoC, triple cameras, and 3,400 mAh battery. Both smartphone came running on EMUI 8.X based on Android Oreo and were upgraded to Android 9 Pie through EMUI 9 back in 2019.
Currently users in Europe and Asia are reportedly receiving the update. We hope to see a gradually expanding to more devices in other region, in the coming days.
