The new Huawei Y9a has been quietly released, which is an adjusted version of the Changxiang 20 Plus launched in China not long ago.
The front of Huawei Y9a uses a 6.63-inch FHD+ (2400×1080 pixels) IPS LCD panel with a screen-to-body ratio of up to 92%, without any bangs or perforations. This is because the phone’s 16-megapixel selfie camera is located in a pop-up module.
Unlike Changxiang 20 Plus, which is equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor, Huawei Y9a is equipped with MediaTek G80 SoC processor , with 6GB/8GB LPDDR4x memory and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage according to different sales regions . If necessary, the storage space can be further expanded through Huawei’s proprietary NM SD card.
The camera arrangement on the back of the machine uses the circular design of Huawei Mate30 Pro, but the sensor is different. The machine is equipped with a 64-megapixel main camera, with an 8-megapixel 120° ultra-wide angle, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro camera unit. The Changxiang 20 Plus uses a 48 million main camera + 8 million super wide-angle + 2 million macro three-camera configuration.
This phone runs the EMUI 10.1 system based on Android 10, is equipped with HMS (Huawei Mobile Services), and supports all necessary sensors, such as gyroscope, compass, gravity sensor, ambient light sensor and side fingerprint sensor.
As for connectivity and ports, the machine supports 4G LTE, dual-band WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C interface. In addition, the machine will use a 4200mAh battery and support 40W fast charging in some countries in the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia. In other regions, a 4200mAh battery will be used, and only 22.5W fast charging is supported.
The size of Huawei Y9a is 163.5×76.5×8.95mm and the weight is 197g. IT Home has learned that the aircraft will be available in three colors, namely space silver, cherry blossom pink and midnight black. Huawei has not announced the price and time to market for the aircraft.
