Instagram Users Will Soon Be Able To Pin A Post To Profile
Last month, Instagram brought back the chronological feed and now the platform is experimenting with another requested feature – some users are reporting that they have the option to pin a post to their profile.
Currently, users can pin a story, which can feature a post, but pinning posts directly wasn’t possible. That might change soon as a Meta representative wrote to TechCrunch: “We’re testing a new feature that lets people feature posts on their profile”.
Work on this has been ongoing for a while now, Alessandro Paluzzi dug into the Instagram app and found the option back in January:
Now the Pin option is actually live for some users. Not all, as the new feature is still in the testing phase. If/when this is enabled for everyone, it will allow users to promote older posts while continuing to share new content.
