We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:
1.) Finance Coordinator
Location: Abuja / Borno
Job Requirements
Education:
- Advanced University Degree from a recognized academic institution in one or more of the following areas: Finance Management, Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Economics, International Development, Contract/Commercial Law.
Professional Experience:
- Relevant 7 years of experience in financial management, of which 5 years should be managerial and preferably in INGO at the national and/or international level
- Proven experience in handling different donor finance compliance and reporting (e.g.: ECHO, OFDA, UNHCR, WFP, UNICEF, etc).
Professional Requirements:
- Excellent skills in MS Excel
- Knowledge of MS Access an advantage
Languages:
- Fluency in written and oral English is required.

General Conditions
- General Conditions – Type of duty station – Non family duty station
- Remuneration – According to position and seniority
- Transportation – Round-trip flight. For any mission lasting at least 12 months, at 9 months one free plane ticket to the Country of residency and back to the mission for the humanitarian worker.
- Medical insurance – Medical Insurance; reimbursement for vaccines, medical certificate and PCR test for deployment; psychosocial support on request
- Visa – Visas
- Annual leave – 2.5 days per month

- INTERSOS applies a “Learning & Development Policy” which includes the possibility to receive capacitation and participate in internal and external training. Priority will be given to Staff working for INTERSOS for more than two years. Staff with a seniority >2 with a demonstrated good performance and high commitment will be invited to be part of the INTERSOS Pool and to create their “Personal Development Plan”. They will be then accompanied individually by the Personnel Development Coordinator to shape their capacity-building plan.
- The categorization of Family, Non-Family, and Accompanied Duty stations is subject to security criteria, access to health and education services.
2.) Programme Coordinator
Location: Borno
Education
- University Degree (preferably Master or Post graduate) in International Development, Social Science, Public Health, International Relations, Conflict and Security or other relevant disciplines.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior leadership role within technical expertise in a humanitarian/ recovery context
- Experience in conflict/post-conflict contexts, with experience in leading emergency responses, access and security analysis and management
Professional Requirements:
- Completed relevant trainings in Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Proposal Writing, Humanitarian Coordination, Safety and Security Management, etc.
Languages:
- English – fluent in spoken and written
Personal Requirements:
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent team-working and team-building skills, as well as ability to work under high pressure and with flexibility
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work and integrate in a multicultural team
- Problem solver, dynamic, mature
- Confidently able to deal with authorities and donors
- Pro-active approach to work
- Able to work independently as well as being a strong team player
- Flexibility, capacity of managing stress, good diplomatic skills.

3.) Security Coordinator
Location: Borno
Requirements
Education:
- An Advanced Degree (Master or equivalent) in Social Sciences, Law, Humanities, Security Studies or related studies.
Professional experience:
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience at senior level, managing and coordinating safety and security, preferably within the humanitarian sector.
- At least 3-5 years’ experience within conflict zones of fragile states.
- Experience networking with a broad base of humanitarian actors including government authorities, donors, and INSO.
- Proven experience designing and implementing security management systems within conflict zones.
Professional requirements:
- Work within the framework of IINTERSOS Nigeria’s core values.
- Act as an ambassador for INTERSOS Nigeria, through professionalism and conduct.
- Adhere to all INTERSOS policies and procedures both technical and administrational.
- Undertake and apply learning from appropriate training and development programmes.
- Maintain and care for all equipment issued by INTERSOS Nigeria and for any losses or damages due to negligence you will be liable for repair or replacement.
Languages:
