House of Representatives member from Jigawa, Mr. Muhammed Kazaure has raised the alarm of alleged theft of stamp duty proceeds running into N89 trillion.Information Guide Nigeria
The lawmaker in a chat with the Guardian in Abuja stated that he has valid documents that prove the existence of such funds in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) custody.
He alleged that the Central bank has not remitted stamp duty revenue to government coffers as tax.NYSC portal
Mr. Muhammed Kazaure insisted that the bank remits only 60 percent to the government while 40 percent goes to private pockets.JAMB portal
