MediaTek joins hands with Intel to build a 5G PC

IT Home August 6 News MediaTek announced today that the 5G personal computer solution cooperating with Intel has recently made important progress. It has successfully brought the 5G experience to the next generation of personal computers through the development and certification of 5G modem data cards. The end product will be available in early 2021.

MediaTek’s T700 5G modem, which provides 5G connections for Intel personal computers, has successfully completed 5G independent networking (SA) calls in actual test scenarios. Relying on the progress made by Intel in system integration, verification and development platform optimization, it will provide users with an excellent experience and will also provide collaborative support for OEM partners.

The products jointly launched by MediaTek and Intel will smoothly execute applications that require a large amount of computing and provide smooth, fast, and zero-latency performance for multimedia users.

Naija Tech News is informed that the MediaTek T700 modem supports non-independent (NSA) and independent networking (SA) of 5G networks in the Sub-6GHz frequency band , providing faster, reliable and stable 5G connections, and has energy-efficient product features.
