MediaTek today released the MT9602 SoC for high-end smart TVs. The chip has more comprehensive functions and can realize 4K HDR display.
The SoC has features such as AI-PQ (image quality), AI-AQ (sound quality), HDMI 2.1a support, global HDR, AV1 and AVS2 decoding support, and MediaTek said it can improve image and audio quality for real-time video.
Flipkart will cooperate with Motorola to launch HD, FHD and QHD resolution smart TVs equipped with MediaTek MT9602 in India on October 9. Officially, this will be the first smart TV on the Indian market that uses the Android 10 system.
Naijatechnews learned that the MediaTek MT9602 uses a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 design, has a Mali-G52 MC1 GPU, and supports 2GB of storage.
MediaTek MT9602 is equipped with AI voice technology, supports up to four directional microphones, integrated voice assistant, can realize hands-free voice control and other home IoT integration, supports Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision HDR (Dolby Vision HDR) , HDR10+, BBC HLG, etc., have dual-band Wi-Fi and an efficient response time compensation engine, which helps reduce blur.
