According to a foreign media Livemint report, ShareChat is an Indian social media platform with more than 60 million monthly active users, involving 15 languages in India. It directly competes with the Bytedance Helo application in India.
Livemint reported today that Microsoft is in talks with ShareChat and invests approximately $100 million. IT Home learned that it is interesting that after the Indian government banned TikTok in the country, ShareChat launched a short video platform called Moj to attract TikTok users.
When Microsoft was interested in ShareChat, it was reported that Microsoft was already discussing with ByteDance about acquiring TikTok’s business in multiple locations around the world . The purchase price was estimated to be between US$10 billion and US$30 billion .
