According to foreign media WndowsLatest, Microsoft provided a registry option in the early version of Windows 10 to help users disable the Bing engine in Windows search, but this feature was quietly removed after the 2004 version . At the same time, Microsoft introduced a new registry setting to help users switch/close Bing search in Windows search.
Naijatechnews understands that by disabling Bing search in Windows 10, the speed and quality of local search can be improved.
After turning off Bing search, the Windows search panel can display local search results faster because it does not need to search for keywords on Bing. In the same way, Bing search ads will no longer appear on the computer after it is disabled.
In the previous Win10 version, Microsoft once provided a “BingSearchEnabled” option to support turning off Bing search, but at present, if you want to turn off Bing, you need to use the “DisableSearchBoxSuggestions” option.
