According to Windows latest reports, when Microsoft first announced Windows 10X at the Surface event last October, it positioned the operating system as software designed for dual-screen devices, such as its own Surface Neo.
However, Microsoft said that the plan has changed, and Windows 10X will first land on single-screen laptops. Some Windows 10X features have also been gradually added to Windows 10. Now, some key features of this modular operating system will soon appear on the device.
In Windows 10 Build 20185, Microsoft added a new clipboard panel that can insert emoji, GIF, and even clipboard content. The new emoji or clipboard panel has many new features, and it has been redesigned to provide a better experience.
The newly added emoji panel on Windows 10 allows users to access recently used emojis and GIFs, and can also search to find the emojis they need faster . The emoji panel also added a function called “clipboard history”, users can see the list of items recently copied to the clipboard.
This new clipboard history record supports text, pictures, and HTML content and can be synchronized on different devices. Users can also delete the clipboard history record from the settings or turn off the function . Currently, the clipboard history can store up to 25 entries, and the oldest items will disappear as new items appear.
This feature is expected to come with the next feature update.
IT Home learned that in addition to the emoji panel, there is news that Windows 10 will have a faster Windows Update experience and a new action center, focusing on productivity and modularity. It is not clear when these features will be unveiled on Windows 10.
