Microsoft Surface Duo phones have weak signal and dropped calls

It was rreporte on October 7 that users reported on the Microsoft community forum that the expensive Surface Duo mobile phone had weak signal and dropped calls. It is said that Microsoft has been aware of this problem.

According to posts on the forum, these problems include dropped calls, weak signals, or long delays, both outgoing and incoming calls.

There seems to be a strange problem with the Surface Duo default network configuration that hinders calls. Many users report that the call drop problem only involves Verizon, but there are also bug reports on devices from other operators. This bug also affects unlocked phones purchased from the Microsoft Store.

Naijatechnews has learned that the dropped call problem seems to depend on the location. In some cases, reconfiguring the default network settings may improve the signal strength. However, several users pointed out that even if the settings were adjusted, they could not solve the dropped call problem.
