SpaceX CEO Elon Musk reiterated on Monday that the company may list its “Starlink” satellite Internet service in a few years . “We may make the Starlink business go public, but in the next few years, until revenue growth becomes stable or predictable,” Musk said, “the open market doesn’t like unstable cash flow. Haha.”
He also stated that he is an iron fan of small retail investors and would give priority to retail investors in the Starlink business IPO. SpaceX management has discussed this topic before, and its president Gwynne Shotwell told investors in February that Starlink is a business suitable for the company to promote and list it, but Musk then downplayed it. This idea means that SpaceX is not focused on getting Starlink’s business listed.
