New Sony PS5 Slim disassembly: temperature and power consumption do not change much

Technology blogger Dave2D recently brought a real machine disassembly video of the new version of the thin and light PS5, comparing it with the size, internal structure, temperature, power consumption and other aspects of the old model.

The video compares the appearance size of the old PS5 and the new PS5 Slim, as well as the internal structure. Interestingly, the video also compares the temperature of the two models after eight hours of pressure testing. The results show that the temperature of the new PS5 Slim is between 62 and 64 degrees, while that of the “old” model is between 60 and 63 degrees.

Naijatechnews  noticed that the video also measured the power consumption of two models, showing that in games such as Spider-Man 2 and Death Stranding, the power consumption of the new Slim model is slightly higher than that of the old model. In addition, the disassembly video also shows the removal of the optical drive slot without tools. However, this is not an in-depth disassembly video.

The new PS5 Slim model will be launched on December 1.
