NVIDIA RTX 4080 SUPER, 4070 Ti SUPER, 4070 SUPER graphics card specifications

Nvidia has not launched a Super version of the graphics card since the RTX 20 series. The RTX 30 series only has Ti-named versions, and the RTX 40 series also continues this rule.

Rumors surrounding the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 “SUPER” GPU have been circulating these days, and the latest rumor published by Kopite7kimi talks about some of the specifications of these three graphics cards.

Kopite7kimi also emphasized that these specifications are from “a few weeks ago” and may change before the final configuration is confirmed, while the naming scheme and pricing will also need to wait until the last minute to be finalized.

The first is the RTX 4080 SUPER, which is rumored to use the AD103-400 GPU core, with 10240 cores, 320 TMUs, 112 ROPs and 64 MB L2 cache.

In addition, the GPU will use a 256bit bus interface, which means it will still use 16GB GDDR6X memory, the same as the RTX 4080 non-SUPER version.

The second one is NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER. Readers may think that this naming with both Ti and Super is strange, and here Kopite7kimi also thinks that its naming is very strange.

In terms of specifications, this graphics card is said to use the AD103-275 / AD102-175 GPU SKU, with both versions having the same 8448 cores and 48 MB L2 cache.

Finally, there is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, which is said to be available in AD104-350 or AD103-175 configurations. Both versions have 7168 cores and are expected to be equipped with 48 MB L2 cache.

In addition, this graphics card seems to still stick to 12GB GDDR6X memory, but we can expect Nvidia to upgrade to higher-specification Micron DRAM to reduce the pressure on the 192bit bus interface.

We had simply summarizes the specifications rumors of three new graphics cards:

  • RTX 4080 SUPER is 5% higher than RTX 4080 (core number 10240 vs. 9728)

  • RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is 10% higher than RTX 4070 Ti (core number 8448 vs. 7680)

  • RTX 4070 SUPER has a core increase of 22% compared to RTX 4070 (core number 7168 vs. 5888)

If NVIDIA’s final plan continues, then the RTX 4070 SUPER will probably be the product with the largest upgrade. This is also NVIDIA’s real means to fight against the AMD RX 7800 XT market segment.
