Philips recently released the 279C9 display, which uses a “zero border” design, 4K resolution, and also uses an IPS panel. The screen size of the 279C9 monitor is 27 inches and the narrow bezel design makes it ideal for multi-monitor setups.
The 4K screen resolution of the 279C9 display can provide higher image clarity. The maximum refresh rate for HDMI input is 60Hz, and the maximum refresh rate for DisplayPort input is as high as 75Hz. Most gamers may skip this monitor because of the low refresh rate, but it also supports AMD FreeSync .
DispplayHDR 400 provides more realistic visual effects, and also has a global dimming function with a peak brightness of up to 400 nits.
The 279C9 display also uses a variety of technologies to reduce eye fatigue. These technologies include LowBlue mode that reduces the amount of harmful blue light emitted by the display and flicker-free technology.
The monitor is equipped with a USB-C port that can support USB 3.0 power supply. According to Philips, the monitor can support up to 65 watts of device charging. It also includes DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.0 ports, and the USB dock supports up to four USB 3.2 ports.
The Philips 279C9 display will be available at the end of August. The retail price of the display in the UK is 439 pounds.
