You are a gamer and had wanted to be earning a living from playing video games ? the opportunity has come.
Many of us have spent hours playing on the PlayStation or Xbox… to get paid to do so would be a lot of fun.
Well, PlayStation are on the lookout for gamers to test their games as they prepare to release the PS5.
Job vacancies for ‘Localisation Testers’ have appeared on Indeed, with one of the requirements being: ‘Passionate games player.’
That’s not all you need, though. The three positions listed are for a Brazilian, Russian and Arabic tester, so you will need to be fluent in more than one language.
If you can speak Portuguese, Russian or Arabic as well as English, then what are you waiting for?
The job role includes making sure the audio and text in a video game is correct.
A good level of knowledge for the required language (grammar, spelling and punctuation) are all key skills, along with having good attention to detail.
A working knowledge of MS Office is also required.
PlayStation say they want to hear from anyone who has a passion for languages and games, enjoys finding linguistic mistakes in video games and likes being part of an international team that impacts players around the world.
Successful candidates will be required to complete a mandatory translation test. Then the fun begins.
The hours are 37.5 hours per week, working 9am to 5:30pm from Monday to Friday.
