According to foreign media NoteBookCheck yesterday, citing news from the whistleblower, Qualcomm is developing a mid-range SoC chip-Snapdragon 732G.
The Snapdragon 732G will be equipped with two 2.3GHz Kryo 470 (A76) large cores + six 1.6GHz Kryo 470 (A55) small cores. The whistleblower said that the Snapdragon 732G is an optimized version of 730G. The main difference is that the AI performance of the NPU has been upgraded and the price has been reduced.
Compared with the Snapdragon 730G, the SoC is 100MHz higher in the large core frequency and 200MHz lower in the small core. It also integrates the Adreno 618 GPU core and does not support 5G networks. It is also made with 8nm technology.
The whistleblower said that the chip will be officially unveiled in Vietnam in September, and models equipped with the chip are expected to sell for less than US$300.
Naijatechnews.com understands that the Snapdragon 730G is the first mobile platform in the Snapdragon 7 series to use Qualcomm Spectra™ 350, with an independently designed computer vision ISP, equipped with Qualcomm’s fourth-generation Qualcomm® AI Engine, and Wi-Fi 6 -Ready compatible, supports Beidou navigation, first released in OPPO Reno 2 on September 10 last year.
