Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Tab S7 series, Galaxy Watch 3 and Galaxy Buds Live at the Galaxy Unpacked event earlier this week.
It even warmed up the Galaxy Z Fold 2, which may be available in October. At about the same time, Samsung may also launch the Galaxy Book Flex 5G at the SDC (Samsung Developer Conference) in 2020.
The first-generation Galaxy Book Flex and Galaxy Book Ion debuted in October 2019 and are the world’s first laptops equipped with a QLED display. Later, the company released another model of the series called Galaxy Book ? (Alpha) at the 2020 International Consumer Electronics Show.
Recently, Samsung submitted a trademark application (via LetsGoDigital) to EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office), with the trademark “Samsung Book Flex 5G”. This indicates that the company may launch a 5G version of the Galaxy Book Flex on the occasion of its first anniversary.
The trademark was submitted by a company called Abril Abogados (on behalf of Samsung). In addition, although the trademark does not contain the word “Galaxy”, the product will indeed be called “Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 5G”.
Of course, this is not the world’s first 5G laptop. The title belongs to Lenovo Flex 5G with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx.
