In recent years, the pursuit for full-screen smartphones keeps getting advancing. In order to increase the screen-to-body ratio of the phones, the manufacturers have to look for way to hide the components on the front. Since ZTE launched its first under-screen camera mass production model last year, consumers have been expecting more manufacturers to follow up this technology.
In this light, phone makers such as Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, vivo, ZTE and Meizu are all expected to announce phones with new under-display cameras in the second half of the year.
Now, a popular insider Ice universe, said that Samsung’s and Oppo’s devices will use an under-display camera will be foldables, while Xiaomi’s will be the Mi Mix 4.

Reports already have it that vivo’s NEX 5 is expected to bring an improved under-display camera in the second half of the year. As earlier mentioned, ZTE first released its under-display camera solution in the Axon 20 5G to the market, but the quality of the camera was less impressive. Now the company has confirmed its Axon 30 will bring the next generation of the camera, but it’s yet to release more details about it.
