How to Expand RAM on OPPO Smartphones

OPPO, a global technology and smartphone brand, recently revealed a new memory expansion technology that allows Reno5 Series smartphone owners in Nigeria to temporarily increase the amount of RAM in their devices.

The company recently released its Memory Expansion Technology, RAM Expansion, for its Reno5 Series smartphones, allowing users to temporarily convert part of their smartphone’s available ROM to virtual RAM with a single click in the phone’s settings App. Users may also easily adjust the degree of RAM expansion based on their real usage demands, depending on the phone’s memory storage.

RAM is one of the quickest forms of memory, allowing a device to transition between jobs rapidly. As a result, the more RAM a device has, the faster it responds. The amount of RAM required by a phone is determined by the applications and features that the user desires, such as gaming, photography, and video editing. More RAM allows you to run more apps at the same time.

The RAM expansion function can be activated after installing a software update on the OPPO Reno5 Series (available from July) by going to the ‘About Phone’ section of the Settings App and restarting the phone.

How to Expand RAM on OPPO Smartphones

1. Update the smartphone software to the latest version.
2. Open [Settings-About phone], click on [RAM], enter [RAM expansion].
3. Select the expansion size as needed, and restart the phone.
4. Open Multitasking interface, and you’ll find the expanded RAM has been applied as indicated in the ‘Close All’ button below.
5. Otherwise, open “About Phone” to find the expanded RAM applied under the RAM section
