Musk: Tesla Supercar Roadster will launch “SpaceX Package”

According to Sina Finance, Tesla CEO Musk revealed some of the latest news about Tesla’s electric supercar Roadster when interacting with netizens on Twitter.

Earlier this year, Musk said that he would announce more information about the supercar Roadster and semi truck later this year.

Musk said that unlike ordinary cars that use multiple bolts to fix the wheels, the new Tesla Roadster will use single-bolt wheels similar to F1 cars, which will allow sports cars to quickly disassemble and assemble the wheels.

Musk also revealed that Roadster will launch a “SpaceX package”, which contains a cold air propeller that can improve vehicle performance.

Naijatechnews learned that on November 17, 2017, Tesla officially released the Roadster in the United States, but for some reason the model has not been mass-produced, and the official delivery is expected in 2020.

The Roadster is a two-door four-seater convertible sports car. The exterior design adopts the unique Tesla family design. Equipped with a 200 kWh battery pack, the car is the first mass-produced all-electric sports car to use lithium-ion batteries, and its motor has a peak torque of 10,000 N·m.

The official said that the car has a maximum cruising range of about 992 kilometers; 0-96 kilometers/hour acceleration time is 1.9 seconds; 0-160 kilometers/hour acceleration time is 4.2 seconds; 0-400 kilometers acceleration time is 8.9 seconds, and the top speed is 400 km/h.

According to the official website, the car starts at a minimum price of $200,000 .
