POCO C50 Tipped to Launch by Early January 2024

In June, POCO unveiled the POCO C40 entry-level smartphone. Last month, the company’s Indian wing claimed that the POCO C50 would be unveiled in the last week of November. However, the company did not announce it.  According to 91mobiles, the POCO C50 will be unveiled on Jan. 3 in India.

The report has no information on the specifications of the POCO C50. Reports have revealed that the POCO C50 headed to India has model number 220733SPI. The same device has also appeared in the list of Google Play Supported Devices. These listings suggest that the C50 might arrive as a rebadged Redmi A1+. POCO India is expected to release an official confirmation on the POCO C50’s launch date in the next few days.

Redmi A1 Plus

The POCO C50 is likely to arrive with a 6.52-inch IPS LCD screen that offers an HD+ resolution. It may feature a 5-megapixel selfie camera and 8-megapixel dual rear cameras. The phone may come preloaded with Android 12 OS.

The C50 will be powered by the Helio A22 chipset and 2 GB / 3 GB of RAM. Both RAM variants are expected to offer 32 GB of native storage.

The POCO C50 is likely to come equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, which may support 10W charging. It is expected to offer other features like a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, a microSD card slot, and a microUSB port.

Apart from the POCO C50, the company is also said to be working on the POCO X5 series of smartphones for multiple markets. The company is likely to unveil the POCO X5 and POCO X5 Pro in January or February 2023.
