Upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 4, Fold 3 update will fix camera issue, temporary solution available

Samsung‘s Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Fold 3 users have encountered a camera app issue. Users have reported a black screen when attempting to use the camera after folding or unfolding the device. This problem seems to occur when the camera app is started from a paused.

To temporarily resolve Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Fold 3 issues, users can close the camera app from the recent applications screen and then reopen it. It is recommended to fully exit the camera app before folding or unfolding the phone to prevent the black screen from appearing.

Samsung is aware of this issue and is preparing a software update to address it. Users are advised to keep their devices updated with the latest software to benefit from these improvements.

To check the software update, navigate to Settings, select Software Update, and then choose Download and Install.
