Tesla’s new business: recruiting engineers to develop video games

According to reports, Tesla recently released some job information, which may mean that the electric car manufacturer will establish a new video game, software and user interface (UI) team at the Austin factory.

At present, Tesla is building a new super factory in Texas, USA. They have already released multiple recruitment information to recruit talents for this new factory.

However, the positions that Tesla has recruited this time are not related to the factory. These positions reveal that Tesla will set up a new software team here to develop video games and user interfaces.

Here are some of the positions posted by Tesla:

Video game engineer, responsible for infotainment software development

Software engineer, responsible for mobile development

Software engineer, responsible for vehicle user interface (C++) development

Rendering engineer, responsible for software infotainment development

Among them, Tesla’s job description for video game engineers is: “Tesla wants to produce the most interesting cars. This opportunity is very rare. We are currently hiring a self-driving software engineer to work with us. Build a video game platform to provide our vehicles with the best video games. We look forward to your joining us, giving full play to your experience in the industry and helping us build this platform together.”
