TikTok asked a US judge on Wednesday to stop an order from the Trump administration that required Google and Apple to remove TikTok from their app stores starting this Sunday to prevent Users download TikTok.
TikTok said that this restriction order was not motivated by real national security concerns, but out of political considerations related to the upcoming election. Last Saturday, a San Francisco federal judge issued a preliminary injunction, suspending a similar order from the US Department of Commerce, which required Apple and Google to remove WeChat from their app stores starting Sunday.
