This week, Microsoft released the Windows 10 Build 20241 preview update for developers Windows Insider members. The new version mainly brings “Introduction of a splash screen that perceives the color of the application” and “Enhanced defragmentation” Experience” two major improvements.
It is reported that the new version supports the initial screen color will follow the system theme when the eligible application starts . For example, when the user theme is dark, the initial interface when starting the application will be automatically displayed in dark, and vice versa for the white theme.
Applications that already support theme awareness include:
● Settings
● Store
● Windows Security
● Alarms & Clock
● Calculator
● Maps
● Voice Recorder
● Groove
● Movies & TV
● Snip & Sketch
● Microsoft ToDo
● Office
● Feedback Hub

In addition, Microsoft will continue to update the Microsoft Store to enable more applications to support this feature. Currently, this feature is only open to Windows Insider members for testing purposes.
Naijatechnews.com is informed that in addition to the above functions, the new version also enhances the defragmentation experience, mainly for the “Optimize Drive” page (Settings> System> Storage> Optimize Drive)with the following changes:
● Add a new “Advanced View” checkbox to list all volumes including hidden volumes;
(Microsoft is still advancing and optimizing the program, so you will see the check box in this version, but clicking the check box may not find any difference).
● List more detailed information in the “Current Status” column.
When the volume is not available for defragmentation (for example, “Partition type is not supported” and “File system type is not supported”), more detailed information is listed in the “Current Status” column.
