New Yahoo search will be launched in 2024

Yahoo! is an American Internet service provider. Its well-known services include portals, email, sports, and news.

Speaking at the SMX Search Engine Marketing Conference today, Yahoo senior vice president and general manager Brian Provost said that the new Yahoo will launch in the first few weeks of 2024.

We expect the Yahoo search team to roll out more basic features in the first few weeks of 2024 (perhaps as soon as a few months later), with more AI and advanced features to follow in the future.

Public information shows that Yahoo was originally founded in January 1994. The meaning of Yahoo is “Yet Another Hierarchical Officious Oracle”.

Due to various reasons, Yahoo, which was once all-powerful, continued to fall from its peak after entering 2000, until it was finally replaced by websites such as Google and FaceBook.

Although Yahoo used its shares to acquire many emerging companies, it failed to keep up with the changes in the Internet wave. As a result, Yahoo’s core business was sold to Weibo in 2016 for US$4.48 billion in cash.
