Sony launches artificial intelligence drone project and registered Airpeak brand

On November 10th, Sony announced a few days ago that it will launch a new drone project based on artificial intelligence (AI) robotics technology.

Sony has registered the “Airpeak” brand for this project. Sony stated that it will be committed to promoting innovation through the application of imaging/sensing technology and 3R technology (Reality, Real-time and Remote) in the field of drones.

Sony said that Airpeak will support video creators to maximize creativity, promote the further development of the entertainment industry, and improve efficiency and reduce costs in many industries.

Sony has not disclosed much information at present, but said that it will continue to disclose the progress of the project and collect feedback from drone users through joint activities to prepare for the official launch of the project in the spring of 2021. Sony also plans to start looking for professional partners for the project soon.
