Google today released the second developer preview version of Android 15 (Developer Preview 2), which further expands the Android system’s support for satellite connection functions, as well as multiple updates.
According to information discovered by foreign media 9To5Google, this version of the system also brings audio sharing functionality , which is described as “letting others listen to your media with you using their own compatible headphones.”
In the new system version, a new “Audio Sharing” menu appears in the “Connected Devices” page of the “Settings” application. After clicking it, you will enter a new page with a “Share Audio” switch and a “Play Test Sound” options .
Clicking the “Play test sound” option will play a brief ring tone designed to confirm that all headphones are connected correctly. Below it, there is a “Stream settings” text, but nothing is displayed.
The feature is not currently working, so it cannot be confirmed whether it is Bluetooth Auracast technology, which allows a single transmitter (such as a mobile phone, computer, etc.) to share audio with multiple headphones and speakers at the same time.
