The Burning Heroes (BH) Founders Association is inviting applications for the second edition of the BH Africa Startup Awards, a platform created to link ventures with investment and other opportunities. This competition is aligned with the association’s goal to provide talented founders equal access to global opportunities.
As part of the association’s collaborative and non-profit events, founders are connected with investors, media, and experts.
In its debut edition in 2023, the BH Africa Startup Awards featured over 80 startups from across the continent. A panel of distinguished judges from leading tech companies and venture capital firms, including Meta, AWS, Flat6Labs, Savant, Plug and Play, Katapult, and Starta VC, selected nine outstanding startups as winners, who received various prizes.
For the upcoming edition, BH Africa will provide 30 early-stage startups the opportunity to present their ideas virtually to a panel of successful tech founders and VCs from Africa and Europe.
The competition categories encompass mobility, prop-tech, climate, agri-tech, fintech, insurtech, space-tech, ed-tech, and AI for good. Winners can expect media coverage, personal advisory sessions with experts, customized pricing and promo codes from BH Africa partners, and access to VCs and membership in an exclusive community.
Applications are open here until April 1.
