According to previous reports and other information gathered so far, Infinix mobility is set to unveil its first-ever 5G smartphone January 2022.
Infinix has already established solidly its presence in African countries, but a growing brand in India. Speaking in an interview today with Infinix CEO in India, said; “We are launching the first 5G phone in India by the end of January.
“There are customers who are looking to buy a 5G phone when the technology hasn’t rolled out. We are looking to build a portfolio where customers can either get a 4G phone with top-notch specs or can opt for 5G. The cost of the latter is, of course, higher. Once the rollout happens, 5G devices will be more affordable,”
“There are a lot of factors involved in deciding the price of a phone. It’s not just the component pricing, dollar has appreciated by 8 per cent in the last few months and that affects the overall pricing. Even then, we are aiming not to cross that Rs 20,000 price point,”
He further added that the company would be introducing more smartphone series in India, and that it would launch around 5-6 smartphones in the country in the first half of 2022.
Infinix 5G Smartphone Specs and Design
According to reports, the Infinix Zero 5G will be the company’s first 5G smartphone. The model number will be X6815 and it will be powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 900 5G SoC. We can also expect to see the device come with 6GB + 128GB onboard storage powered by Android 11 out of the box.
