The 2024 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) kick-off meeting announced that the 2024 World Artificial Intelligence Conference will be held in Shanghai from July 4 to 6.
According to reports, WAIC 2023 has held a total of 133 online and offline events, with an exhibition area of more than 50,000 square meters. As of the closing of the conference, the number of offline visitors exceeded 177,000, the total network traffic exceeded 1.07 billion, the total network exposure reached 6.41 billion, and more than 2,600 domestic and overseas networks and media, all reaching record highs.

The first list of partner institutions for the 2024 World Artificial Intelligence Conference includes Beijing Institute of Scientific Intelligence, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization Investment and Technology Promotion Office (Shanghai, China), London Development Promotion Agency (London & Partner), Tsinghua University, Center for AI Safety, Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, Chinese Academy of Engineering Academician Expert Achievement Exhibition and Transformation Center, China Industrial Internet Research Institute, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology.

According to previous reports, the exhibition area of the 2023 conference will exceed 50,000 square meters, and more than 400 companies will participate offline. Both the exhibition area and the number of exhibitors have reached a record high. In addition, more than 1,400 important guests attended the conference, including 5 Turing Award winners, 1 Nobel Prize winner, more than 80 domestic and foreign academicians, and more than 50 domestic and overseas business leaders.
