X (Twitter) “like” and “retweet” will be Hidden in the Future

Elon Musk is radically transforming the X (formerly Twitter) platform. While advancing in the direction of “super applications”, he also plans to cut off some important functions.

According to Musk’s latest tweet, the “like” and “retweet” counts of tweets will be hidden in the future information flow , and users can only see relevant information by clicking on the tweet. IT Home attaches the screenshot as follows:

Musk believes that on the X platform if the “like” and “retweet” counts are displayed by default, the overall appearance will appear cluttered and distract the user’s attention.

Musk said that in addition to the number of likes and retweets, he also hopes to hide the number of replies on the timeline to improve the user experience. In response to a user’s tweet, Musk said that the X platform’s future timeline will only display pageviews by default as the main proxy for other metrics.
