Xiaomi Civi 4 to feature Leica cameras

Naija Tech News on March 2, The Xiaomi Civi 4 is the next big launch from the company. We have been hearing about this product for the last few months.

Earlier, it was said to be powered by a MediaTek chip. Later, it was rumored to arrive with a Snapdragon 7 series chipset. But recently, it was tipped to house a Snapdragon 8 series SoC.

Following that, a new leak has now emerged revealing all the key features of this handset.

According to Digital Chat Station, the upcoming Xiaomi Civi 4 will be powered by a Qualcomm SM8635 mobile platform. At present, we have no details on this Snapdragon 8 series chip, except that multiple phones from different brands will use it.

Further, the tipster claims that the device will flaunt an eye-friendly 1.5K flat display. This panel will be covered with a 2.7D micro curved glass like the Xiaomi 14 series.

Interestingly, the handset will feature Leica co-branded cameras headed by a 50MP sensor. This makes it the first non-Xiaomi series phone to flaunt Leica branding.

Naijatechnews learned that The device will also sport a metal frame and glass back like flagship smartphones. Finally, it will be backed by a battery with over 5,000mAh capacity and support 100W charging (possibly 120W).

Based on the specs discussed above, the Xiaomi Civi 4 will be different from its predecessors. Previous models offered curved displays, dual front cameras, and mid-range chips.

The Civi 4 is expected to launch in May. Thus, we are looking forward to learning more about this smartphone in the coming weeks.
