[UPDATED – 22/05/2020] MTN Nigeria has chosen to delight existing customers on the MyMTN app platform by offering them free 2GB data for referring 10 persons to register on the app. I’m pretty sure that the regular readers of this blog are already familiar with the MyMTN App.

Initially, when you download the MyMTN app, you’ll be compensated with 500MB worth of free data, but MTN has just introduced a user-friendly referral program to all her subscribers and you have the opportunity to earn up to 2GB data for free!

If a user of the MyMTN app invites another person, (the referral will get free 200MB and the person that refers to will get 500MB). So if the referral invites up to (10 people) on his/her contact, the referral will get massive free 2GB of data instantly.

Arithmetically, 5 referrals will give you a whooping 1GB Data and 10 Referrals will give you 2GB Free data.

Below is how you can get started.

For new users:

  1. Download the app on play store
  2. Sign up for it by using your MTN number (make sure it’s in the phone for you to have access to the OTP code which will be sent to confirm if it’s you)
  3. Once verified, Scroll down to MTN Refer and Earn
  4. Choose contacts that you want to refer.

For Existing Users:

  1. Log in to MYMTN mobile app.
  2. A screen will prompt up, tap on “INVITE NOW”.
  3. When you invite 10 people to the app, you will be given 2GB data.
  4. Choose the contact that you want to invite.

Note: Make sure your referrals are not existing customers, otherwise, none of you will be compensated.
