Windows Migration Assistant is a migration tool developed by Apple to help users transfer contacts, calendars, email accounts, music, pictures, movies, documents, and other types of files from Windows PCs to Mac.
The Windows Migration Assistant 3.0.0.0 version released by Apple today is only compatible with PCs running Windows 10 or higher and is limited to migrating to macOS Sonoma 14.4 or higher. For Macs that cannot upgrade to higher versions, you can try using the previous version. Version 2.4.5.0.
Once installed on your PC, the tool will run automatically and can be used with the Setup Assistant on your new Mac or the Migration Assistant in your Mac’s Utilities folder.
After deciding to transfer files, the user must enter administrator credentials, select the PC from the available list, verify the password on the Windows and Mac displays, select the files and data to be transferred, and start the migration process.
