According to the State Administration for Market Regulation, FAW-Volkswagen Co., Ltd. has filed a recall plan: starting from March 29, 2024, the recall will be from August 7, 2019, to October 21, 2021. A total of 5,084 partially imported Audi e-tron electric vehicles were produced in Japan.
In some vehicles within the scope of this recall, the power battery module may experience abnormal self-discharge. In extreme cases, the power battery may become thermally out of control, posing a risk of fire.
FAW-Volkswagen Co., Ltd. will entrust FAW Audi franchised dealers to implement temporary recall measures starting from March 29, 2024:

Vehicles within the recall scope will be tested for free regularly (once every four months), and the battery module will be replaced if there is an abnormality in the battery. Before the final recall measures are implemented, users are recommended to limit the charging capacity to less than 80%;

Starting from the third quarter of 2024, the final recall measures will be implemented: on-board diagnostic software will be installed on vehicles within the recall scope. The software will detect potential problems with the battery module, warn the driver before the risk occurs, and replace abnormal battery modules. Group.
